Online Adoption Application Form

Hi, my name is Laika (pronounced Lyka)   and I am  a sweet,  snuggly,  and goofy  girl !  I am being fostered at  an  in-home  daycare,  so I am around kids ages 12 months to 4 years old plus the  resident’s  children ages 13 and 18 years old   plus  their resident dog .  

I am  very playful and enjoy pulling out toys one by one  from the toy   bin, especially the tennis balls!  I am  always looking for someone to  follow around  but  I’m  also happy chewing  on a bone or play ing  with a toy by  my self.  I’m  an expert  snuggler  and know how to fit  my self in the tiniest spaces to get some cuddles !

I  love to go for walks and  runs and  I’m  an avid  rabbit  hunter  in the  backyard (I’m not sure what I would do if I actually caught one tho!) but  can be redirected without too much effort.  I  also love   watching out our  sliding door  to keep tabs on activity in the neighborhood, but  I’m  very quiet and rarely bark.

I am  completely potty trained.  I  do fine  being  left out when  my fosters  leave the house and can usually be found snoozing on  the couch  when  they  return.  I  can also be  kenneled (something I didn’t know before coming to them) but   I  will  bark  a bit at first before settling down  in a few minutes .  I  know how to 'sit' and  am  very excited to show this off when treats  and food  are involved.  We are working on more commands, and   I’m  eager to please and would love to learn more commands with  my  new family !
