Miss Raven is a total sweetheart, and is small but sassy. She loves to hang out on the couch or in bed and snuggle with you, especially if belly rubs are involved. She loves attention and will always be right by your side no matter if you’re vacuuming, mowing the lawn or in the shower. She loves to give kisses to show her affection. She loves to play with balls and any stuffed animal that squeaks - she always has one with her and has them stashed throughout the house in case she loses one. She loves to play fetch but is still working on drop/release, so you need 2-3 balls to play with her. She would do well as the only dog or with a sibling.

Despite her past, Raven has made some amazing improvements. She is leery of new people at first, but warms up quickly if toys and treats are involved. She has not been introduced to kids, but based on her energy she would likely do better with older children. She does bark at the door to let you know someone is there, otherwise she doesn’t make much noise. She is learning how to be a dog outside of a kennel, and she still has her puppy energy. After belly rubs or calling her by her nickname, Ray-Ray, she will get the zoomies. She is working on her manners, specifically with taking treats nicely and sharing, and is making improvements each day. She is working on commands but tends to get over excited about the treat and loses focus. She does have the cutest “sit” though! She does require a slow feeding bowl as she tends to scarf her food down. She loves to go on walks and does very well on a leash. She also rides very well in the car. After the initial excitement wears off she lays down to enjoy the ride. She will require a fenced yard as gets too excited about walks and car rides. She is crate/kennel trained. She does have some anxiety around the kennel but settles easily.

Raven does well with other dogs after initial introduction. It may require 2 introductions before adoption. She does not like when other dogs are up in her face and trying to initiate play right off the bat. Once she is comfortable with the other dog she does great and will play and wrestle with them if that’s what they like. She can be food aggressive, which is understandable. She knows to go to her crate for meals and does well. She does OK with treats and other dogs present. She has done well with cats, she is interested but respects their space and loses interest quickly.
