This girl is the sassiest, spunkiest love bug of a German Shepherd once you get to know her. She’s got that sassiest “awoo” that you’ll ever hear. She always wants to be by your side, whether watching TV, laying in bed and even going to the bathroom. She also makes sure to let you know when she wants something- especially when it comes to walks, food or playing her version of fetch. Her version of fetch usually includes throwing the ball and then playing keep away or tug until she’s ready to go again. Finley is leery when it comes to new people, and takes time to warm up to them. She’s been working on this and has gotten a lot better, but she is still cautious during introductions. She has not met children and should not be in a home with small kids. Once she warms up to you she is the biggest sweetheart around. Finley is also dog friendly with proper introductions, she has not been tested with cats. She does well with her foster siblings, and is getting the hang of playing with them, but is still selfish with her toys. Finley is very smart and eager to please, especially when treats are involved. She knows basic commands like sit, shake and lay down. She prefers to sleep on one of her beds close by to you and is working on “place” command and doing well. She lets you know if she has to go potty and hasn’t had any accidents. She walks well on a leash and loves to go on adventures - “walk” is definitely one of her favorite words. She kennels fairly easily but does get anxious once you leave. She does well with grooming- both baths and brushing, and will even let you use the blow dryer.
