Hello everyone, my name is Vega.  One evening a short time ago, someone contacted Saving Shepherds of MN about me.  I was living with some people that couldn’t keep me due to circumstances.  I was picked up by this nice guy, and he brought me home.  I didn’t’ know what was happening, and I was very nervous and scared. There were 3 other dogs there, and I had never met them before.  It took me a couple hours to be comfortable around those other 3 dogs, but since I am so submissive, I just did whatever they did.  I am a Velcro dog, and get attached quickly to my people.  I really love playing with tennis balls, and I will even throw them for myself to fetch.  I know the word “out” and will gently let you have the ball.  I know other commands, such as sit, stay, down, no, out, and get down.  I am not very brave around new people, and I bark.  I don’t have a mean bone in my body, and would never hurt anyone.  I am learning how to play with toys, stuffed toys, and how to chew on bones.  I learned toys are really fun!  I don’t like to be in a kennel…I try to chew my way out.   L   I do well out in the house with these other resident dogs, and don’t destroy anything. They have cameras in their house and watch me, I play with toys, look out the front window and take naps when they are gone at work.  They do come home at lunch and let me out to potty.  I have not had ANY accidents in the house since I got here.  I run to the door and let you know I need to go out.  I don’t bark very much, but I do like to talk- I have a squeaky voice.   J   I am learning how to play with these other dogs in the place I am in, and I really like it.  I do get a bit scared with loud noises, like when the GSD barks.  I am also unsure on fast movements, I just freeze.  Oh, here is something else, I don’t care about cats.  I don’t chase them, or try to make them my lunch, we can be friendly.  I am friendly once I get to know you, and I really like to snuggle, sit on your lap, perch myself on the back of the couch, and lay in bed with you- all night long.  I am a real sweetheart, looking for my forever home.  I will be your best friend and snuggle buddy.
