You may remember Henley. In January, she fought for her life and survived Parvo. A couple weeks later, another diagnosis was thrown at her. Fast forward to today . . . Henley attends doggy daycare daily, she's incredibly social with dogs and people, she's good with cats, 100% potty trained, crate trained and currently learning proper leash manners. She's smart, super sweet and a silly girl! The diagnosis? She has Megaesophagus. She drinks water normally, but the muscles in her esophagus are weak and are not able to move food to her stomach. Many dogs live long, happy lives with Mega E as long as it is managed appropriately, Henley is no different! She runs, plays, learns and loves like any other dog. The only difference in this girl is that she eats in a specially made chair and must stay upright for 20 minutes after meals. She eats regular dog kibble... soaked til it's mush. Seriously, very easy to maintain considering the diagnosis. So... who is ready to love her furever?? If you are interested, please go to our website and fill out an application!
