Meet Chevy!  She is a beautiful black and tan German Shepherd, and is a petite girl, at 50lbs.  She is almost 2 years old.  She was in an indoor/outdoor kennel the first 1-1/2 years of her life !  This past 6 months, she was with a family that had trained her to be out of her kennel, due to her anxiety, and does good, but still best when dogs are kennel trained when home alone.   Chevy is the Alpha female and does not do well with female dogs, small dogs and NO Cats for this girl either - she has a healthy prey drive.    Chevy would do best in a home with a larger male dog.

She has been through obedience, and she is a real easy going girl.  Chevy easily relaxes when hanging with the family.  Her high energy is mostly when she gets outside and when playing with the other dogs - she can  play rough, so keep her in close proximity so you can call her off.  She has a great recall and is easily called off, with a solid "ah ah"...

From her previous family:  She is an absolute darling.  Although she is small framed, she has a great big German Shepherd heart.   She graduated top of her class in both obedience I & II, so she knows all basic commands.   Chevy is the best copilot on road trips. She is house trained, but also trained to go on a puppy pad - so no accidents.    Her favorite things to do is run with her owners.   When the snow mobile comes out she gets so excited, she can’t wait to run alongside the path with you.    She prefers squeaky toys over playing fetch.   She only likes 1 brand of treats; but praise is more of a treat to her then food.   She’s an active girl that walks really good on a leash.  She is shy at first, will bark to let you know someone is here...    She is great with children - 5 years and older, per her previous family.   Set her bed up next to yours and she will be content all night long.  Chevy loves to please her humans, she is happiest when with her humans.

Chevy is micro-chipped and up to date on all vaccinations. She is spayed and is so  ready for her new fur-ever home!
