I’m Rascal – they say I’m 9, but honestly, I feel like I’m still a youngster.   I love to be loved and  to be around my humans.  They call me a shadow, but I really don’t understand what that means.     I really like a good game of fetch (I even bring the toy back), a nice long walk to smell the world around me and food.  I really love food – and they tell me I need to gain a little weight so I guess that is a win win!     I’d love a nice warm home and my own humans feet, or couch if you’d let me, to snuggle up to this winter!

Rascal is a regal looking boy just looking for a family to call his own.  All he wants is to spend his senior years with a family that will take care of him and make him a part of their family.    Most of his prior life was spent outside, but has adjusted well to the house.   We are brushing up on his doggie manners.  He responds very well to ‘No’ and does know some basic obedience.   He settles nicely in his crate for bedtime with a bedtime snack and we don’t hear a peep out of him until we let him out in the morning.

He would really prefer to be the only dog - as it would reduce any additional stress at his age, plus he’d get all the attention!   Right now, he avoids his foster brother and sister.   They are much younger and more high energy.
