We would like everyone to say a warm welcome to Ms Fiona!  Fiona was seen running, running, running for days and no one could catch her.  Finally after several days and numerous attempts, she was finally caught.  She was brought to a very nice home to wait out her stray hold.  But, once she stopped running, they noticed she had a large lump on her front leg that she was very protective of.  She was limping and the swelling would get worse if she was on it more.  They call Saving Shepherds of MN for help and today we picked her up and took her directly to our vet.  After being sedated, a complete exam was done along with X-rays, thermal imaging, vaccinations and a microchip.  The results are a fractured Carpal bone, there are a couple fragments of bone in the joint floating around and we are sending the X-rays to a specialist to determine if she will need surgery.  Fiona is a very sweet girl, she is dog, cat and older kid friendly.
