Do you remember Chance? He came to use after he and 2 other German Shepherds were found abandoned in a house. The police were called and 2 of the 3 dogs were saved, unfortunately it was too late for one who had already passed away. Through the investigation, it was determined the owners of the dogs had moved out of the house last fall and left the dogs in the house. They spent the entire winter alone, no heat and no running water. The owner would periodically stop by and leave food and water, but the dogs were not let outside and forced to use the house to go to the bathroom….needless to say, it was a disgusting environment to be in.
Fast forward to today…the owner has plead guilty to animal abuse / neglect and will serve time in jail. 
But the best part, Chance is ready for adoption!!
Chance came to us early this summer and had no idea how to be a dog. He was never taught the social skills he needed to be a part of a family home so we sent him to training to learn!
He had some set back, because if you know Shepherds, you know they are smart enough to figure things out but without guidance, their way may not always be the most appropriate way! Chance had to learn how to be a dog, how to look to a human for guidance and how to read other dogs social queues. He did great!!
Chance will need a very strong pack leader with German Shepherd experience and we know the perfect home is out there for him!
Chance is all up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. He is people
Friendly, dog friendly (always with proper introductions) and would do best with older kiddos because he can sometimes still get super exuberant and not realize his size.
