Extremely food motivated (acts like she is starving, all.the.time). Affectionate to the max; always has to give kisses and LOTS of them. Super sweet demeanor but is definitely approaching brat status. Spastic. This little girl can jump using only her hind legs, much like she’s on a pogo stick. Has wild moments where she just won’t settle down but then hits her max and tuckers out in an instant. Great on walks!! Has learned sit, stay, leave it, give it, mine, up, lay down, kennel. She is great going in to her kennel, and as long as she can see or hear someone around she just whimpers a bit til she takes her nap. If her foster family are out of sight she cries, for a good amount of time before quieting down; when left in the kennel when the humans go out, if it’s longer than 2 hours, she starts to get naughty and chew on things to the point of destruction. So still some separation anxiety. If we let her free on the main floor when we are gone there aren’t any accidents but she gets into whatever she can find and chews through stuff. Loves other dogs and every person she has met. To keep her busy we give her hooves, beef chews, rope toys and softer small stuffed toys with squeakers. And she finds great fun in dragging every dirty sock and kitchen towel or rag out of the dirty laundry to scatter all around the family room. She is really smart, rather precocious, and just a dear sweet girl overall. Pepper is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative.
